Megan Cusack "Wikipedia" is an Irish actress born in 1996 in Cork. She grew up near Skibbereen in West Cork.

Megan comes from a family of actors - she is the granddaughter of Cyril and Maureen Cusack. Her father Padraig is a producer, and she is the niece of actresses Sinead, Sorcha, Niamh and Catherine Cusack. Her cousin is actor Max Irons.

Megan graduated from LAMDA acting school in 2018. She is known for her roles in the TV shows Call the Midwife (2012) and The Cherry Orchard (2020).

In 2021, Megan was nominated as "Favorite Newcomer" at the TV Times Awards for playing Nancy Corrigan on Call the Midwife. She was also named one of the top 10 period drama actresses that year.

Megan made her professional stage debut in 2019 at Ireland's Abbey Theatre in the play "The Country Girls" by Edna O'Brien.

Now 25, Megan stars as new midwife Nancy Corrigan on the hit TV show Call the Midwife. Despite her successful acting roots, Megan still doubts her talents sometimes. To feel secure, she keeps a side job as a cinema usherette.

Megan was very nervous her first days on the Call the Midwife set. She rushed her lines, worried she didn't belong. In the show, Nancy hides that she gave up a child for adoption as a teen. Nancy hopes to bond with her daughter, who thinks Nancy is just her sister.

The nuns and midwives give Nancy advice as she figures out how open to be. Megan relates to Nancy putting her foot in her mouth sometimes! Though she aims to be more tactful than her character.

Overall, Megan is grateful to continue her family's legacy as an actress. With Call the Midwife's success, she's established herself as a talent to watch.
